I KNOW, right? I think I stopped breathing for a whole segment. And why did David leave? I thought at first he was just really mad at Holly and couldn't be with her, but when he said he was going back to New York...oh, that sucks! Poor Rebecca.
David's whole life has been a life of avoidance and not being responsible. He probably decided he can't handle being a 'dad' even to a grown girl; and he was mad at Holly.
When I found out what they were doing with Rebecca and Justin, I just cringed. Kind of like Matt Roush. (He wrote about it today in his Dispatch on TV Guide.) It's such a cheap soap opera twist. I'm pretty sure, like Matt implies, the writers never intended for Rebecca to be anything but a Walker. But then they discovered that Emily VanCamp and Dave Annable have chemistry, and so they're like, well, gee, we can't do the whole incest thing, so um...yeah, let's have her not be a Walker after all.
But I'm with Matt -- I hate the storyline, but EVC and DA are great. Especially EVC. I loved her on Everwood and am glad that I finally have all four seasons on DVD.
Yeah - it does seem like an afterthought but you are right on the chemistry. Seeing them together is amazing. I can FEEL the emotion.
I HATE HATE HATE Holly though. Can't stand the character, can't stand the actress. She OVER-acts. It's her speech/voice and eyes. Just hate watching/ listening to her. grrrrrr.
Some guy was selling them. Basically they're just recorded from TV, but they're good quality, and since they're not officially available on DVD, I'm fine with it. I forget the name of the website, which sucks, because I need to get The Inside on DVD, too.
He left because he's a shmuck trying to turn himself into a good guy. He understood why Holly lied to Rebecca, and knew he didn't have anything to offer her instead. (materialistically that is. I'm sure that will come to fruition in future episodes... he left to let her continue to have 'everything' but she'll end up just wanting a dad, etc)
The whole justin and rebecca love thing is going to be hard to swallow. He still thinks she's his sister, yet he's lusting after her. That's gross. She knows better, but still: yuck. She should have told him, even if it was just him. I like what Jen has to say about it though. good way to put it.

I really like Patricia Wettig but Holly...wow. I just can't stand her. She's manipulative and a liar and...ugh. Hate.
I currently don't like the idea of Rebecca and Justin dating but I'm willing to give it a shot. I might end up totally loving it. :)
