Reading Marian Keyes' Anybody Out There? right now. I just got to the part where what actually happened to Aidan comes out. Ugh. Not what I wanted to read. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I read MK for relaxation and fun. I wasn't expecting this twist. I was so puzzled for the whole first section of the book and then it was like someone hit me in the gut. Now I don't even want to pick it up. She's trying to keep it wacky and such with the characters but it's too hard to trivialize the storyline IMO.

Tomorrow at 5 am guess where I'll be? Standing outside in a line to get dance tickets for my 3 year old's first ever dance recital. I heard some crazIER moms camp out overnight. They have SERIOUS issues. Mine are just minor issues. LOL
Then T-ball at 9; Mom to Mom Resale event after that. Then pet expo. Then Bible Study at 6:30. Yeah - just a slightly busy day.
6 years ago last night I was fasting as I prepared for a version and possible induction or c-section the following morning. The stinker was sideways! But by the time we got to the hospital at 6 am on April 30th he had turned. 6 years ago tonight I was in the midst of labor. ugh. But after induction and 23 hours of labor he was still posterior and I never dilated to 10, the c-section was done at 10:18 am on May 1st. On my Grandpa's birthday. It was a perfect moment. The most perfect moment of my life.
So tomorrow I took the day off work. I get to take kids to school. My first time dropping Luke off in the circle like a big boy! In the morning I have to get my TB test read at work and then I am spoiling myself because ** I ** am the one who did the work right? I am getting hair and pedicure done. :) Happy mama = Happy family! Then at noon I go to Luke's school to volunteer for the afternoon. After school we pick up his cake - BATMAN! oh and don't forget the ice cream. Then it's home to change and snack before T-ball game at 5. My mom and sis and fam are coming for that. After that we'll get pizza (his fav) and open presents and have the cake (and ice cream). Then Friday I have to go to work (boo). After work we go to the Lazer Tag party adventure for 10 school friends from 4-6 pm. They are even putting his pic on the electronic sign out front before and after the party. :)
Ok - I better go wrap his present! Doh!
Not keeping up with kelly but it's still really good for me. In 4 months 24 books done, so I am definitely ahead of the 1 book per week goal. I just finished The 4th Summer of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It's been 2 years since I read the first 3. It has taken that long for my library to get through the queue of requests. It was addicting per usual. Had to find out what happened. So I read it in about 2 days. Now it's on to Marian Keyes' Anybody out There (the other book it took over a year to get from the library.

He's laid back and easy going. She's high drama. He's good at home and bad at school. She's good at school and bad at home.
She wakes up happy and easily. He's a bear to wake up in the morning. She's my social greeter at church. He hides on the bench during the handshake time.
He's my Ying and She's my Yang but somehow I love them both.

Damn! I love this show!!! That was intense. I could just feel the emotions for each of the stories. LOVE it!
What is it? Why is an object made of wood, nails, and paint the subject off my post entitle "what makes me happy?" To fully understand I wish I would have taken a BEFORE pic. See this area of my kitchen counter used to be a mass of wires, cords and electronic objects (mixed in with a healthy dose of dust). The phone/answering machine, cordless phone base, DSL box, router, surge protector and cell phone charging cord were all evident and a true EYESORE. It made me crazy. Every day I was in the kitchen I wanted to scream. At one point DH told me he would put it all in a cupboard above and I cleaned one out for him to use. He never did it. So finally I hired our baby sitter's husband (wonderful carpenter) to build this. It was love at first sight. All the wires and boxes are UNDER!!! Every time I walk past I get that "AAAAHHHHH" feeling. :) The back is open and kept about 6 inches from the wall so that the items don't over-heat. Ain't it puuuuuuuurrrrrrty?
