Last night Rachel bossing her brother (older) around. Yes she is a gutsy lil spitfire. Anyway, when she did it she pointed her index finger at him. I told her she needed to stop pointing at him and bossing. So then he started asking, "Isn't that finger a bad word?" Um where did he learn this? I told him it's the middle finger. Then ensued a 15 minute inquisition on why is it bad and what does it mean and what is the bad word and why won't I tell him. I stuck firm and continued to reply, "It like saying something very bad and mean to the other person and I can't say it to you because then I would be breaking the rules by saying it." He finally gave up but WHEW!... I know these conversations and topics are only going to get more complicated, touchy and serious as they grow up. I'm not looking forward to it.
