Rach has a thing for creating the wackiest costumes. For your viewing pleasure.....
Yup - that title is the quote direct from the Radiology tech who took care of Rach today. She was amazing. She's such a tough little girl. I think way tougher than her brother. She was so well behaved and followed directions, held still - everything they wanted her to do. I was shocked the tube was smaller than a coffee stirrer and soft and pliable. They used a novacaine cream on the tissue prior. Rach teared up a few times but mostly because of the tape they used for the tube on her leg. And then when her bladder was full and she felt like she needed to go I think it scared her. But it was very minimal and she never sobbed or thrashed or anything. The staff was fantastic. They distracted her and were so great with kids. She got a bottle of bug candy and a little book that thrilled her. She thought wearing the scrub top was cool as her "princess gown." All in all it was a great experience. Even the radiologist was great with her and the best news of all - "NO REFLUX!!!!!!!" Mama's happy folks!
And here is the best "Rach-ism" of the day.....After ward she wouldn't stop talking about the whole experience and told my mom on the phone, "The tape hurt me." Yet she didn't say it once, twice or even 3 times. Try 4. So then I left the van to go in and get Luke. I came back and DH told me that he was trying to talk TO her but it's difficult with her non-stop rambling. She informed him, "Daddy, be quiet. It's hard to hear myself talk when you talk!" That just about sums up my little babbler. LOL
#1. Rachel....I don't know whether to laugh or be scared at her antics lately. Today we go into bathroom at church before service. She walks up to the floor length mirror and says, "Can I look at myself first mom? Don't I look pretty?" Then we arrive at the picnic later and meet my mom.....walks up to my mom...."Grandma do you like my pretty shoes? Isn't my shirt beautiful? Don't I look beautiful Grandma?" :o Seriously folks....the girl is full of herself. I am sure I've contributed but damn! All I can hear is Carly Simon singing....."You're so vain....I bet you think this song is about you......"
#2. My church and pastors....wonderful service/sermon again today. It's laid back. Easy going. Funny sermons with good message. And I love the way they reach out. There is a sign language interpreter. They have 5 services. One is a rock band service. It's just cool that there is something for everyone.
#3. My kitchen...I am getting so excited. I picked out wallpaper border today. And my paint color...I think I am going to do the brushed suede effect. And drawer pulls and outlet covers and lights! :hyper It's going to look so fab!
1. The heart wallpaper in my kitchen is gone. As in GONE GONE GONE. Adios. Never to return. Although I may not be able to lift my arms tomorrow.
2. Luke got a triple today at the ball game. He's AWESOME!
3. Rachel stayed dry in panties ALL morning even at the ball game. :)
