Reading Marian Keyes' Anybody Out There? right now. I just got to the part where what actually happened to Aidan comes out. Ugh. Not what I wanted to read. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I read MK for relaxation and fun. I wasn't expecting this twist. I was so puzzled for the whole first section of the book and then it was like someone hit me in the gut. Now I don't even want to pick it up. She's trying to keep it wacky and such with the characters but it's too hard to trivialize the storyline IMO.
Inspired by Erin, Found this chair today on the Classifieds at work and got this for Luke. (It's a baseball mitt in case you can't tell). He adores it! So he read his books to me tonight while sitting in it. It's such a switch now. He reads to us at bed. In the past month it's been leaps and bounds in his fluency and speed and ability to tackle unfamiliar words. I just love it. And the look of pride when he gets done with a book! WOW!
BTW - if your kids are learning to read get these books! BOB books
